4 Pawz Petz respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it and how we look after it, in line with South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

Who we are

4 Pawz Petz provides house sitting, mobile pet grooming, tick and flea treatments, pet sitting and dog walking in Hillcrest, Kloof, Waterfall, Monteseel, Drummond and Westville. You can contact us about this policy on WhatsApp or by phone at 081 742 3234.

What we collect

We only collect information you give us when you get in touch or book, for example on WhatsApp, by phone or on Facebook:

• your name and phone number
• your address or suburb, so we can visit and work out the travel cost
• details about your pets, such as name, breed, size, age and any health issues, allergies or behaviour we should know about
• details of the services you book and pay for

This website

• No accounts or stored forms. The contact form, price calculator and tick and flea finder run in your browser. They only prepare a WhatsApp message. Nothing you type is stored on this website or sent to us until you choose to send that message in WhatsApp.
• No advertising or tracking cookies. We don't use cookies to track you.
• Visitor statistics. We may use Vercel Web Analytics to count page visits. It doesn't use cookies and doesn't identify you personally.
• Hosting and fonts. The site is hosted by Vercel and uses fonts from Google Fonts. Like any website, these services receive basic technical information such as your IP address and browser type so they can deliver the page.

How we use your information

• to reply to your messages and arrange bookings
• to groom and care for your pet safely
• to work out prices and travel costs, and keep a record of payments
• to contact you about your booking

We don't sell your information or use it for marketing without your permission.

Who we share it with

We only share your information when we need to, for example with a vet in an emergency involving your pet, or when the law requires it. Messages you send us on WhatsApp or Facebook are also handled by Meta under its own privacy policy.

How long we keep it

We keep your details for as long as you're a client, and afterwards only as long as we need them for our records or the law requires. You can ask us to delete them at any time.

Your rights

Under POPIA you have the right to:

• ask what personal information we hold about you
• ask us to correct or delete it
• object to us using it
• complain to the Information Regulator at inforegulator.org.za
